This hard disc has SATAIII connection. SATAIII, or SATA 6GB/s is the latest generation data transmission connection found in the most modern computers for ensuring sufficient SSD discs data flow exceeding the SATAII possibilities. The speed of the cache memory of hard discs can sometimes exceed also the SATAII passage possibilities because in essence this cache memory is a small size SDD disc (~64 Mb). Therefore, when the relevant port is available on the motherboard it is advisable to select the SATAIII disc.

Thanks to the 7200 rpm rotation speed of magnetic discs this hard disc provides the optimum fast operation in the data search and transmission. 7200 rpm is the classic standard for the universal application both for the maintenance of the operating system and applications and the data archiving.

Data buffer is a high-speed memory built-in the HDD and allowing the disc to receive data at a smooth speed irrespective of the level of loading the physical memory of the disc at the particular time. If you work with a high number of small volume files (documents, photos, etc.) we recommend to buy an HDD with 8Mb or higher data buffer.
