Kirjeldus - hEX S on viie Gigabit Etherneti pordiga ruuter kohtadesse, kus traadita ühendust ei ole vaja. Võrreldes mudeliga hEX on hEX S varustatud ka SFP-pordi ja viimase pordi PoE-väljundiga. See on taskukohane, väike ja lihtne kasutada, kuid samal ajal on sellel väga võimas kahetuumaline 880 MHz protsessor ja 256 MB RAM-mälu, mis võimaldab teha kõiki RouterOS-i toetatavaid täiustatud seadistusi. Seadmel on USB 2.0, PoE-väljund Etherneti pordile nr 5 ja 1,25 Gbit/s SFP-pesa. Toetatakse IPsec-riistvarakrüptimist (~470 Mbps) ja The Dude serveripaketti, microSD-pesa pakub paremat lugemis- ja kirjutuskiirust failide salvestamiseks ja Dude'i jaoks.
